Answer Text: The greatest number of placements a child or young person In the care of the Department of Child, Youth and
Family Services has had Is forty-six. This covers the period 5 October 1995 to 16 December 2003. The young person
concerned has disabilities and special needs which have been considerably more demanding on caregivers than is usual.
The number of placements is also contributed to by her placement with respite caregivers for short term periods to give
her day to day carers a break.Apart from respite care, the young person has now had the same primary caregiver since
2000. This caregiver is committed to the permanent care of the young person.
