Tamihere touts Nat employment policy
National is welcoming Small Business Minister John Tamihere's endorsement of a key part of National's industrial relations policy - trial periods for new employees.
"It's now clear why Labour Minister Margaret Wilson is struggling to get her crazy Employment Relations Act changes through Cabinet - Mr Tamihere is trying to get National policy included in it," says National Party Industrial Relations Spokesman Roger Sowry.
"In advocating National's policy and holding up the ERA changes in Cabinet, Mr Tamihere will help New Zealand business escape Margaret Wilson's crippling employment law agenda.
"Mr Tamihere did a great job highlighting Labour's ridiculous approach to welfare. Let's hope he keeps up the good work and destroys Labour's mad employment laws too," says Mr Sowry.
