Front Up Over The Foreshore Please Helen
The Prime Minister needs to front up at the foreshore and seabed consultation hui that are being held around the country said New Zealand First Maori affairs spokesperson, Bill Gudgeon.
“To say that she has a busy schedule for the next three weeks is not acceptable as this issue is of paramount importance to the nation,” said Mr Gudgeon.
“Sending other cabinet ministers to take her place and the flak is an affront to Maori and the nation as a whole.
“We have noticed that when it comes to issues that provide photo opportunities there is no end to the number of people who attend, including the Prime Minister.
“The public demands that the Prime Minister attend the hui, as the issue of the foreshore and seabed will have an effect on all New Zealanders,” said Mr Gudgeon.
