Dunne: Greens show - again - why they can't be trusted
United Future leader, Peter Dunne, says last night's vote in Parliament by the Green Party against the Labour-led
Government's Budget demonstrates yet again why the Greens cannot be trusted to bring stable government to New Zealand.
The confidence vote was won 62 to 57 by the Government with the support of United Future.
"Stability in government is important to the economic and social health of New Zealand and yet the Greens have now voted
twice against the Government, even though they claim to be willing supporters of Labour," said Mr Dunne.
"As always, the Greens try to have a bob each way. They'll cuddle up to Labour when they get what they want, but as soon
as Labour demonstrates some commonsense and rejects yet another loony Green idea, the Greens turn septic, throw their
toys out of the cot and try to bring the Government down.
"This is not the behaviour of sane adults operating in an MMP environment, they are the antics of petulant spoiled
children who are not fit to be Parliament," he said.
