Breast Cancer Petition Presentation
Rt Hon Winston Peters will be presenting a petition on behalf of Kathryn McIlraith for improved breast cancer follow-up treatment at 4.30pm today.
Kathryn McIlraith was treated for a cancerous tumor in her breast this year. She then had to wait for 14 weeks to receive radiation treatment.
The petition is calling on the Government to take immediate action to ensure that all women who have had breast cancer surgery receive follow-up radiotherapy treatment within the internationally recommended four weeks.
Ms McIlraith has collected just under 10,000 signatures over the last five weeks.
