Auckland City and Auckland Regional Transport Network Limited (ARTNL) would like to invite you to the official start of
$3.3 million of upgrade work on Auckland’s rail corridor.
Kingsland railway station and its immediate vicinity have been selected as a priority. Work will start on Thursday 24
July 2003.
The Mayor of Auckland City, Hon John Banks and Auckland City’s transport committee chairperson, Cr Greg McKeown will be
welcomed by ARTNL’s chairman, Mr Ross Keenan, at Kingsland station at 10.30am. They will inspect the work to be
undertaken and assist the workers in their duties.
The start of the corridor upgrade is another important step in the improvement of the passengers rail infrastructure in
the Auckland region.
“It is important that we get on with the much needed improvements. While ARTNL have the responsibility of developing and
managing the corridor, stations and tracks, Auckland City Council will be working closely with them to help improve
