Dunne praises Kelly's contribution
United Future leader and chair of Parliament's foreign affairs, defence and trade select committee Peter Dunne, today praised the contribution retiring MP, Graham Kelly, has made to Parliament and the people of Wellington.
Mr Kelly leaves Parliament today to take up a post as High Commissioner to Canada.
"We have worked together as Wellington MP's for 16 years and while we may not have always agreed on everything, working with Graham has always been a pleasure without any rancour or political bitterness.
"He was my electorate neighbour in Mana for many years and my predecessor as Chair of the foreign affairs, defence and trade select committee, so I know first hand the very real contribution he has made and the hard work he has put in," said Mr Dunne.
"I am pleased he is over his recent health trouble and will certainly miss both his friendship and smiling face around Parliament. I wish him well in his new job in Ottawa," he said.
