NZ Enterprise Wins Olympic Award - Again
New Zealand enterprise has been recognized for the second year in a row in the global Enterprise Olympics.
Economic Development Minister Jim Anderton this morning hosted the Enterprise Champions Breakfast in Wellington where it was announced that an eight member New Zealand school team had come up tops in the competition that includes representatives of schools from 14 nations.
A New Zealand team also won the inaugural 2002 Enterprise Olympics.
"It is remarkable that New Zealand enterprise has come up tops two years in a row," Jim Anderton.
The Progressive leader said that New Zealand’s future economic and social development will be underpinned by an environment and culture that supports and celebrates entrepreneurs and businesses.
"If I had one message to young people, it would be that each of you can make a difference.
"Others can copy you, but only you have the unique talents you possess and if you don't do something with them then the positive effect you can have will be lost forever," Jim Anderton said.
"No one can replace the individual talent you alone have".
