Pokie machine money deal stitched up
Labour and United Future are close to stitching up a deal to push through the Responsible Gambling Bill by July, says National's Internal Affairs spokesperson Judith Collins.
"National's campaign to keep local money local seems to have stopped Labour and the Green's plan to centralise pokie funds. We've forced Labour to cut a deal with United Future instead of the Greens.
"Unfortunately, the deal won't stop gaming tax increases. This is money taken directly out of children's sports clubs. It's just another way of ripping money out of the community," said Ms Collins.
