CYF's Must Remove Girls From Homes
“CYF’s must remove the young girls at the centre of an investigation into prostitution from their placements,” said New Zealand First family affairs spokesperson Barbara Stewart.
“CYF’s have been investigating this group of young girls in Christchurch for almost two weeks for suspected prostitution yet have done nothing to remove them from their Child, Youth and Family placement homes.
“Why is that CYF’s seem to move extremely slowly when their own people are involved? It is time they took some decisive action with these girls for their safety and future wellbeing.
“CYF’s are supposed to be there to protect people but have done little to help these young girls. If they are not removed and taken off the streets then they will have little hope of ever reaching their potential,” said Mrs Stewart.
