English supports keeping Starship name
National Leader Bill English says he backs the overwhelming support for Starship Children's Hospital to keep its name. "This is not just an Auckland issue. The name matters a lot to families throughout New Zealand.
"I have seen communities all around the country raise money for children to go to Starship for life-saving procedures. We don't want to see all that go with a new name which doesn't reflect the same positive image that Starship does," Mr English said.
"The strength of the Starship brand has prompted community support for children to get to the hospital," Mr English said.
