Christchurch MP travelling to Santiago de Chile!
United Future MP Marc Alexander travels to Chile this weekend to attend the 108th Inter-Parliamentary Union Conference in Santiago de Chile. The inaugural ceremony will take place on Sunday, 6 April at 7pm in the presence of the President of the Republic of Chile and the President of the IPU Council.
The 108th Conference will give the delegations in attendance the opportunity to hold bilateral meetings and examine conflicts in several parts of the world. The IPU Committee on Middle East Questions will also meet on this occasion.
After the Conference Mr Alexander commences four days study leave where he will meet the Chilean vice Minister of Police, the Director of Law and Order, and the National Director of Corrections. Mr Alexander will also visit the Santiago Corrections facilities and the National Police Academy.
Mr Alexander is the deputy chair of the parliamentary Law and Order Select Committee, and United Future spokesperson for Law and Order, and Police.
