Green MPs at weekend peace rallies
Green MPs will participate in rallies against the US-led invasion of Iraq this weekend, on both sides of the Tasman.
Saturday
Auckland: Keith Locke will speak at the Say NO to War march and rally. Midday march from beside QE2 Square (corner of Queen and Customs Streets), to go to Myers Park (off upper Queen St) for a rally.
Wellington: Sue Kedgley will participate in the Stop the War march and rally. Rally at 11am in Civic Square, then march to Parliament (arrive approx. midday) then to the US Embassy (arrive approx. 12:30pm.)
Nelson: Mike Ward is at the Peace and the Music Festival at Riverside Community (near Motueka.) Speaking at 1pm.
Christchurch: Rod Donald attending Peace Vigil in Cathedral Square, 12:30pm.
Sunday
Sydney: Keith Locke will join the major march for peace through Sydney, starting 12:30pm (local time) from Balmore Park (next to Central railway station.)
