How does Jacko's Face fit the Charter?
National's Broadcasting spokesperson Katherine Rich is questioning how "Michael Jackson's Face" qualifies as a New Zealand documentary for tonight's DNZ slot.
"Recent Charter programming has had disappointing ratings. Yet the one slot which should be Charter-friendly is the Documentary New Zealand series.
"It continues the strange series of decisions brought on by the Charter. Assignment, which regularly embarrassed the Government on controversial issues, has already had its local content culled. I hope this is not the intention with DNZ.
"If the Minister can explain to me the relevance of "Michael Jackson's Face" to Documentary New Zealand and it's goal of telling New Zealanders' stories, I'll be impressed," said Mrs Rich.
