New Family Court Judge Appointed

New Family Court Judge Appointed
Attorney-General Margaret Wilson today announced the appointment of Timothy Druce as a Family Court Judge.
Judge Druce has been a family law practitioner in Lower Hutt since admission to the Bar in 1986. He had previously worked as a Probation Officer and as a social worker and family therapist for the Child and Family Service in Wellington.
Mr Druce has had over 20 years active involvement with Relationship Services, holding the position of President since 1999. He served on the executive of the New Zealand Law Society Family Law Section and on the consultative committee of the continuing legal education programme.
The new judge, who will be sworn in on March 27, will sit in Whangarei.
