Health Minister to launch ‘Going to Hospital’ Book at Paparoa Street School
Health Minister Annette King will launch the ‘Going to Hospital’ Book, a joint project between the Rainbow Children’s Trust and Canterbury District Health Board, at Paparoa Street School, Paroa Street, Papanui, at 2.00pm tomorrow.
Ms King says Going to Hospital is a resource schools, parents and health professionals have been anticipating eagerly.
“The first time anyone goes to hospital, whether they are a child or an adult, can be an anxious or even distressing time, but children reading this book can be assured that there will be no nasty surprise in store. This book takes away the mystery of hospital,” Ms King said.
