Serious questions over tiger attack
National's Health spokeswoman Dr Lynda Scott is asking questions on whether the mental health system has failed a Wellington man attacked by a tiger yesterday.
"I understand that the man was still being held under the Mental Health Act.
"The public need answers on how someone so unwell could end up in the community and what his care plan was.
"The inquiry by Capital Coast Health needs to tell us how this could happen and if the system has failed another mental health patient. This man was obviously a danger to himself," said Dr Scott.
