Immigrant Con Man Takes Kiwis For A Ride
New Zealand First leader Rt Hon Winston Peters is calling for a thorough investigation into the background of Iranian conman Pourshad Marco Arvand and an explanation of how he has managed to fleece New Zealand taxpayers for the last 14 years.
“How did this man get residency when he has not done a single day’s work in the 14 years he has been here?” asked Mr Peters.
”How many more are there out there like him? Did his overseas travel and his vast amounts of cash and bonds not spark suspicion in any official circles when he applied for benefits?
“Here is a man who has admitted conning a number of women and is also facing other serious charges. He is another example of someone who has slipped through our immigration system. Late last year I raised the case of a so-called refugee who was allowed to stay after preying on New Zealand women.
“At what point will the government stop this absurd practice of letting anyone, regardless of their background, into New Zealand to live an easy life on a benefit. They are laughing at us all the way to the bank!” said Mr Peters.
