No Glitter From Gary !
New Zealand First Leader Rt Hon Winston has advised Christchurch Mayor Garry Moore to concentrate on the problems confronting the city instead of acting like a tin pot African dictator.
Mr Peters today described Mr Moore as a “minority mayor” and “pinky fingered” Labour activist who had done more to drive people out of Christchurch than any other mayor in the history of the city because of his incredibly dull and boring approach to civic affairs.
“His legacy to the garden city will be one of a divided community caught up in political correctness and clan warfare.
“New Zealand is still a democracy – despite Garry’s attempts to dictate to the contrary - and I am pleased to be coming to Christchurch on Friday (tomorrow) without his permission.
“Instead of pretending to be some despotic Somali warlord determining who may or may not visit Christchurch, Mr Moore should work on local issues, like resolving rubbish problems and trying to retain the good people he is driving away.”
