ACT Trying To Close Ncea Gate After Horse Has Bolted
“A member’s bill to place a moratorium on the introduction of Level 2 of the NCEA for two years is a waste of Parliament’s time,” stated New Zealand First education spokesperson, Brian Donnelly.
“The bill, drawn up by Donna Awatere-Huata, can’t have its first reading until February next year, at which time NCEA Level 2 will be well underway.
“It is nonsensical to put up legislation which, even if it was passed, could not possibly be implemented.
“This is typical of ACT’s total lack of understanding of the activities of the schooling system and its cynical disregard for the costs of operating Parliament.,” said Mr Donnelly.
