King launches Magnet Hospital Programme at Hutt DHB
Health Minister Annette King today launches an exciting new programme at Hutt Hospital designed to improve patient safety, quality care and the working environment for nurses.
The Hutt Valley District Health Board will be the first DHB to participate in the internationally acclaimed "Magnet Hospital " programme.
"Magnet Hospitals" are hospitals in the United States and Britain that share features that promote quality care and patient safety by recognising and encouraging professional nursing practices.
