Mallard to meet with Chinese Minister of Education
Education Minister Trevor Mallard will today meet with Mr Wang Zhan, Vice-Minister of Education, China.
He will witness the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for co-operation in education between the Chinese and New Zealand Ministries of Education.
The MoU formalises regular communication between education officials from China and New Zealand. Annual working group meetings will provide a mechanism for consultation and discussion around policy developments and particular issues, including the matter for foreign fee paying students in New Zealand.
