Petty politics by Rodney Hide
“Mr Hide has published comments which he apparently made at a talk to the Act Party faithful today in which he asserts that I have said that he has a chance of winning the Epsom seat; said Richard Worth, MP for Epsom.
“For the record, I never said that and why would I. I intend to continue to represent the Epsom voters and I believe I have a mandate to do so.
“Mr Hide does not represent the interests of the electorate nor does he even live within it.
“I regard his attempt to draw attention to himself as typical of his politics. He unsuccessfully sought the seat of Auckland Central and has been an unsuccessful constituency candidate in Epsom on two occasions.
“Act needs to focus on political issues and not the tactics of bluster and destruction which characterises Mr Hide’s stance.
