He Korowai Oranga: Maori Health Strategy Launch
Health Minister Annette King and Associate Health Minister Tariana Turia will be launching He Korowai Oranga: Maori Health Strategy and the Whakatataka: Maori Health Action Plan at Te Papa this evening.
He Korowai Oranga sets out how the health of individual Maori can be improved by focusing on the potential of the whanau to promote well-being. Whanau ora is a radical change of approach to health care.
He Korowai Oranga: Maori Health Strategy sets the direction for Maori health development for the next five to 10 years, and Whakatataka: Maori Health Action Plan 2002-2005 outlines how the Government will implement the strategy.

There will also be regional launches in Rotorua on 15 November, in Auckland on 22 November, and in Christchurch on 25 November.
