Support for Kiwi deployment in war on terrorism
The National Party is giving its support to the Labour Government’s decision to commit troops to Operation Enduring Freedom.
“We have a role to play in the war on terrorism especially after the Bali bombing on our own doorstep,” says National deputy leader Roger Sowry.
“The National Party is right behind the programme, but hopes Opposition Parties and the public are kept fully informed about what the New Zealand contingent is doing,” says Mr Sowry.
