Who’s telling the porkies - Cullen or Dunne?
“Government bedfellows Labour and United Future need to get their facts right,” says National Party Associate Transport Spokesperson John Key.
“In answer to my written questions Finance Minister Michael Cullen has flatly denied United Future Leader Peter Dunne’s claims that he was confidentially briefed by Ministers over the proposed imminent sale of Air New Zealand.
The New Zealand Herald quoted Mr Dunne on October 4 that he had been confidentially briefed on the proposed sale.
“Here we have the Party supporting the Government in confidence and supply claiming to have inside information on something the Ministers of Finance, Transport and Commerce are all denying to have taken place.
“It poses some very good questions - who from the Government did brief United Future and who out of Dr Cullen and Mr Dunne is telling the truth?” Mr Key said.
