Immigration Shambles Proved We Told You So!!
“Official Labour Department papers prove that the Government cannot continue its insane policy of flooding New Zealand
with immigrants,” said New Zealand First Leader, Rt Hon Winston Peters.
“The papers justify concerns continually raised by New Zealand First over a number of years and highlighted by the media
during the election campaign.
“We have repeatedly said that this country in general, and Auckland in particular, cannot cope with a torrent of more
than 53,000 new immigrants every year.
“The Government continues to be in denial, and refuses to face the serious consequences of its ad hoc approach to
immigration.
“Everybody in Auckland knows that the area is creaking under the weight of immigrants, with health, education, welfare
and roading systems under enormous strain.
“This policy of trying to prop up a failing economy by mass immigration is mindless! It was started by David Lange,
continued by Jim Bolger and now resumed by Helen Clark.
“The problems being experienced now are only going to get worse,” warned Mr Peters.
