Ryall Welcomes New Police Superintendent
National Police Spokesperson Tony Ryall said today he wished Rob Pope all the best in his new role as Police Superintendent.
"Rob Pope is very well respected within the police force. Superintendent Pope is known as an efficient operator who focuses on the issues and keeps his head in often trying circumstances.
"It is widely believed that he was brought in to head the Marlborough Sounds inquiry because of his ability to separate relevant facts from red herrings quickly and effectively -- while giving away little publicly in the process," Mr Ryall said.
