Greens Took Three Hours To Betray Their Principles
“When Jeanette Fitzsimons offered the Greens’ support for Labour’s budget on Saturday night she betrayed one of her party’s fundamental principles – to keep GE in the lab” claims New Zealand First Leader Winston Peters.
“The public needs to know that the budget contains funding for new GE field trials. It is within the money for the Foundation of Research, Science and Technology.
“The Greens told the voters throughout the election that one of their bottom lines was keeping GE in the lab. Within three hours of the closing of the polls, they were trading away that bottom line.
“This is a betrayal of monumental proportions, never before witnessed in the political history of our country,” said Mr Peters.
