Carter Calls On Stock Exchange To Investigate Air NZ Sale
National's Finance spokesman David Carter has called on the New Zealand Stock Exchange to investigate the sale of 25 per cent of Air New Zealand to Qantas.
"I am deeply concerned that there is widespread acknowledgement within aviation and business circles in Australia that a deal has been done between Air New Zealand and Qantas. My concern is that the Australian market appears to have more information than the New Zealand market.
"I am formally asking the NZSE to inquire as to whether the information is being evenly divulged between the Australian and New Zealand markets," Mr Carter says.
