Unfortunate Error Or Deliberate Deceit – You Be The Judge
Leader of New Zealand First and MP for Tauranga for the last 18 years Rt Hon Winston Peters, has expressed his disappointment at the latest act of desperation by electoral opponent in Tauranga, Law School Lecturer, Attorney General and Cabinet Minister within the Labour Government, Margaret Wilson.
Mr Peters said, ”My campaign headquarters has been inundated with complaints from recipients of a letter from Ms Wilson in which she falsely represents herself as the MP for Tauranga. Ms Wilson uses the words, and I quote:”
“As your Tauranga MP, I have been an ………”
“This is not so”, said Mr Peters, “Ms Wilson has never been the MP for Tauranga and in my view never will be, if this serious misrepresentation of the facts is a reflection of her style”. Mr Peters said.
“Ms Wilson is a List MP with no particular electorate to call her own and to do so in this reprehensible manner is quite inexcusable”.
“I trust she will now contact each of my Tauranga constituents she has misinformed, and offer an explanation, a retraction, and an apology”, Mr Peters concluded.
