Tizard's office in Tizzy
Things really heated up in the Auckland Central campaign with chickens flying in Ponsonby last week as Judith Tizard's secretary attacked a local butcher over the Pansy Wong poster displayed in his shop.
Tizard's secretary walked into Provencal Meats, a Three Lamps Butcher, directly across the road from the Labour candidate's office, and complained about the offending poster.
She insisted it be removed and replaced with a poster of Tizard.
The butcher was shocked. In the year he had been there he had never seen Judith Tizard in his shop, however, Pansy has visited several times. He told the irate woman he could put up any posters he liked.
With that, Tizard's secretary, who had purchased a chicken for dinner, threw it at him and stormed out yelling, "You can stick the chicken up your arse. I'm never coming back into your shop".
Perhaps the mounting pressure of the strong challenge by energetic Pansy Wong is be becoming too much for Tizard as she starts to realise Auckland Central is turning blue?
