As Predicted: Labour Turns Guns On New Zealand First
“The Prime Minister’s attack on New Zealand First’s Immigration policy and the CTU President’s attack on New Zealand First’s record clearly demonstrate that Labour will sink to any depths in their efforts to rule alone,” New Zealand First Leader Winston Peters said.
“The CTU President is being used by an unscrupulous Labour Party and is betraying his membership. The flood of largely unskilled immigrants into our country is contributing to inflation, increasing demand for social services, driving down wages, increasing competition for entry-level jobs, and decreasing productivity. How is that helping CTU members?
“The Prime Minister’s thinly veiled threats to voters, which we predicted would come as Labour’s support dropped, are no more than an unprincipled grab for power which New Zealanders will see through. Until now the Greens were the PM’s target, now it is New Zealand First. The question for the Prime Minister is this: having ruled out the Greens as a potential coalition partner is she now ruling out New Zealand First or are these scare tactics? The voters are entitled to know before polling day,” Mr. Peters said.
