National Introducing School-Based Site Bargaining Of Teachers’ Salaries – Donnelly
“National’s MP for Whangarei, Phil Heatley, told the audience at a candidates’ meeting last night that his party planned to introduce site based bargaining for teachers’ salaries,” said NZ First Education spokesperson Brian Donnelly.
“Mr Heatley told the audience that school boards would set the salaries for their teachers. When asked if he was talking about school site-based bargaining, he responded in the affirmative, said Mr Donnelly.
“If National has a policy of school-site based bargaining it should be telling Boards of Trustees and teachers so that they can assess the value of such a policy,” said Mr Donnelly.
