Gang Patch Ban A Good Move

National's Police spokesman, Tony Ryall, is applauding the move by Whakatane police to ban people from wearing gang patches and colours in the town.
"This is a practical initiative aimed at diffusing gang tension in Whakatane and we fully support it.
"I would like to see gang patch bans become standard practice in other New Zealand centres too," says Mr Ryall.
