“As we predicted the Government has thrown in the towel as our economy and our exports turn sour,” New Zealand First Leader Winston Peters said.
“Labour must not be allowed to govern alone. Remember what happened last time when they did? We are still paying the price.
“New Zealand First will campaign to fix up three things:
1. we will fix up the immigration mess;
2. we will fix up the Treaty of Waitangi industry; and,
3. we will fix up law and order and reclaim our streets.”
“If others want to help us do this we welcome their support,” said Mr Peters.
“In every respect New Zealand First and Winston Peters are ready. When all around us there is panic we are firm in our resolve as to what needs to be done. We are coming back whether they’re ready or not! ”
“New Zealand First will launch its campaign at lunchtime (12.15) next Monday, 17 June, at BAYCOURT, Tauranga,” Mr Peters said.
