Rodney MP and ACT Transport Spokesman Penny Webster is delighted that the Alpurt project has been saved from being
downgraded.
"This is great news. Alpurt is a vital part of the whole Auckland motorway link, and it is vital to the Orewa-Rodney
district. It will be helpful both as a commuter road and also to relieve through-traffic from local traffic.
“This crucial road needs to be built as soon as possible. However fixing Spaghetti junction in Auckland should remain
our number one priority," Mrs Webster said.
