ACT leader Richard Prebble says he is delighted that Stephen Franks is standing for ACT in Wellington Central.
"I believe Stephen is an ideal Wellington Central candidate. He is not only a long-time resident but also high
intelligent, Parliament's leading lawyer and personifies the electorate," Mr Prebble said.
"While Stephen will campaign for the list vote, he will be able to ensure that ACT's policies of the need for more
personal responsibility can be advocated at candidate meetings in Wellington Central.
"Wellington Central is a very important electorate for ACT as it is one of our best areas of support. I'm sure with
Stephen Franks as our representative, ACT will improve its list vote in 2002," Mr Prebble said.
