More Health Boards Look At Cuts
"Earlier today I released a press statement which said that nine district health boards had either talked about service reductions or had been told by the Minister of Health to 'reconfigure' services or find 'efficiency gains' (make cuts).
"This statement contained an error.
"The number of boards should have been 10, as I have since been informed that Waitemata District Health Board is another board under so much financial pressure it is also looking at service cuts.
"I regret the omission as we always endeavour to speak the facts," Mr Sowry said.
