Police:
An extra $34 million this year and $34.5 million in each of the next two years for police.
Immigration:
$9.6 million over four years to strengthen immigration security and anti-terrorism measures.
Corrections:
$10.7 million in 2002-03 to strengthen prison perimeter security.
$24 million over three years for prison maintenance.
$1 million in 2002-03 to continue two successful programmes to reintegrate prisoners back into the community.
Attorney-General:
$1.15 million over four years to the Serious Fraud Office.
$7.9 million over four years to Crown Prosecution services.

Courts:
$36 million over four years to expand the Fines Collection Call Centre enabling the collection of an extra $90 million in overdue fines and reparations to victims.
Youth Offending Strategy:
- $12 million over four years to establish Day Reporting Centres for youth offenders.
- $2.85 million to pilot a residential programme for high risk serious young offenders.
- $1.25 million for youth crime prevention in high crime areas.
- $1.1 million to enable more effective management and delivery of youth justice services.
$127,000 to continue for another year a service to assist Pacific youth appearing before the Youth Court at Manukau.
Defence:
$19 million defence pay increase: funded half from new money and half from within existing baselines.
