Deputy Chief Censor position to be retained

Internal Affairs Minister George Hawkins has announced today that the position of Deputy Chief Censor of Film and Literature is to be retained.
The position has been vacant while the government reviewed the extent to which the position contributes to the effective operation of the Office of Film and Literature Classification.
Mr Hawkins said today that the position would be advertised in early May 2002 with the intention of making an appointment by 31 July.
