Zero Tolerance Message Too Threatening to Thieves
Cheeky thieves have stolen an ACT New Zealand billboard that called for zero tolerance on crime.
In broad daylight on Sunday, thieves removed the ‘Zero Tolerance on Crime’ billboard from the Greenlane motorway roundabout in Auckland.
ACT New Zealand party manager Graham Watson was stunned by the theft.
“This daylight robbery is highly ironic. “It shows criminals are scared by our tough-on-crime stance.”
“Maybe the picture of handcuffs on the billboard looked familiar. I certainly hope whoever did this gets re-acquainted with a real pair soon,” Mr Watson said.
The sign read “Zero Tolerance For Crime”, with a statement at the bottom: “ACT, Somebody Has To.”
