The combined net profit from the three SOE electricity generators/retailers for the six months to December 2001 was
$86.6 million, State Owned Enterprises Minister Mark Burton said.
For the corresponding period a year earlier, the net profit was $112.6 million.
If the national grid operator Transpower is included, the combined figure is $154.0 million for the latest six months,
and $171.6 million previously.
