78 Enterprise Awards totalling $852,454
Deputy Prime Minister Jim Anderton today announced 78 more grants have been made to innovative businesses through Industry New Zealand Enterprise Awards.
“At the Innovate Event in Christchurch on 5-7 March I said it was up to New Zealanders to innovate and improve New Zealand for all of us. Nowhere is kiwi innovation more alive and well than in the businesses which are flourishing up and down New Zealand,” said Jim Anderton.
“I encourage these businesses and their success as their innovation and creativity are vital for New Zealand’s economic growth.
There have now been 439 awards have been made totalling $3.7 million since September 2000.
Entrepreneurs or small to medium sized business owners can receive a maximum of $20,000 from an Industry New Zealand Enterprise Award, which can be used to fund up to 50 percent of the cost of a project.
Small businesses and entrepreneurs interested in Enterprise Awards and other services and support from Industry New Zealand can look at the website www.industrynz.govt.nz.
