Grafton Gully and Auckland Transport
Transport Minister Mark Gosche and Auckland Mayor John Banks will turn the first sod of the Grafton Gully to Port link tomorrow.
The Grafton Gully project will improve the route to the Port of Auckland, which is crucial to Auckland’s commercial activity.
Mr Gosche will also be speaking about other key Auckland transport projects, including an announcement on a new transport initiative for the Auckland region.
When: 11 am – 12 pm, tomorrow, Friday December 7 2001
Where: Corner Stanley Street and Grafton Road Parnell (carpark opposite the ASB Tennis Centre)
If wet: Heineken Pavilion, ASB Tennis Centre
Format: Speeches by Mr Gosche and Mr Banks, followed by digging of sod.
