Launch of Sexual and Reproductive Health Strategy, Phase One
Health Minister Annette King will launch phase one of the Sexual and Reproductive Health Strategy, Thursday, October 18.
Venue: Ministerial Dining Room, 2.2, Beehive.
Time: 4pm to 5pm.
Members of the Sector Reference Group, who provided expert advice to the Ministry of Health on the project, will be present at the launch.
Mrs King says that providers in the sexual and reproductive health sector have been telling her for some years that the sector lacks overall direction, and that services are fragmented.
“Phase One will provide the direction the sector needs, and from early next year we will be releasing action plans to address issues such as reducing sexually transmissible infections, the incidence of HIV/AIDS, and unwanted/unintended pregnancies.”
