New baby-walker standard
Acting Consumer Affairs Minister Jim Anderton will tomorrow announce a new mandatory standard to make baby-walkers safer.
Thirteen babies a year are hospitalised from accidents associated with baby-walkers.
A demonstration of compliant- and non-compliant baby-walkers will be available at the news conference.
Time: 1.00PM Tuesday, 9 October 2001
Venue: 7.6 Beehive, parliament.
