Mallard to lead NZ delegation to ADB conference
Associate Finance Minister Trevor Mallard will lead the New Zealand delegation at the Asian Development Bank conference in Hawaii this week.
The delegation includes the Secretary for the Treasury Dr Alan Bollard.
Trevor Mallard will present the New Zealand intervention at the conference on Friday 11 May at approximately 5.00pm (New Zealand time). Speech notes will be available.
"As the only multilateral source of concessional assistance exclusively for Asia and the Pacific, the ADB is important to New Zealand," Trevor Mallard said.
"By attending this conference, I hope to develop a more structured, productive and cooperative relationship between New Zealand and the ADB, so as to improve the effectiveness of both the bilateral and multilateral development programmes in Asia and the Pacific."
