Minister to launch Positive Ageing Strategy
Minister for Senior Citizens Lianne Dalziel will officially launch the New Zealand Positive Ageing Strategy tomorrow, at an all day seminar titled: Positive Ageing in Action: Communities working together.
The strategy aims to promote positive ageing to give older people improved opportunities to participate fully in their communities in the ways they choose. It is also designed to encourage people of all ages to think positively about ageing.
The strategy launch will also be marked by a fun debate with the topic "That Positive Ageing Begins at Birth". Lianne Dalziel will lead the affirmative team.
