Budget Date Announced

The Government's second budget - Budget 2001 - will be delivered on Thursday, May 24.
Finance Minister Michael Cullen announced the date today during debate in Parliament on the Finance and Expenditure Select Committee's report on the Budget Policy Statement.
Dr Cullen said the Budget would reflect the Government's commitment to economic transformation, fiscal prudence and social justice.
